Anti-competition: Competition is inefficient, unnecessary, and highly damaging to everyone involved, we prefer to collaborate
Function first: Tools are made to work, this takes priority over style as does accessibility
Sliding priority: User stories that benefit marginalized and/or disabled users take priority
Low impact: All efforts are made to make tools easy and cheap to run on low powered hardware whether it's client, server, or peer
Eco-awareness: All efforts are made to be cutting edge in adopting technologies and tools that consume less power and use more environmentally friendly materials
Least data: Store as little data as possible on users, if any, in order to maintain security and privacy
